Effective January 1, 2021, the government of Kenya has fully automated the issuance of visa. All travelers who needs a visa to Kenya must secure an e-visa prior to travel.
The e Visa is valid for a single entry only, good for 90 days from the date of issue for a stay up to 90 days, and extendable for up to an additional 90 days while in the country. Or it can be multiple entry subject to approval by the government of Kenya. It is very easy to apply for and the Kenya e-Visa requirements do not make you send your physical passport to . It can be issued within 24 hours to about 4-5 business days (Monday – Friday) and is a cost-effective option.
East Africa Tourist Visa is issued to a foreigner who wants to visit simultaneously the Republic of Kenya, Republic of Uganda and Republic of Rwanda for tourism. An East Africa Tourist Visa is multiple entries within the three countries and shall be valid for 90 days.

- Copy of the Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – Front Cover page of the passport and the personal data information page (must be in jpg file)
- One Visa Application Form – fully completed (must be in pdf file)
- One passport Type Photo (must be in jpg file)
- Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent (must be in jpg file)
- Hotel Reservation (must be in jpg file)
- If applying for visitor visa, scanned copy of inviter’s invitation letter and copy of inviter’s passport data page and front cover or national ID (must be in jpg file)
- If applying for business visa, scanned copy of US Company business letter and Invitation Letter from Inviting Organization and Inviter’s Registration (must be in jpg file)

Important Information About COVID-19 PCR Test
Travelers entering Kenya are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 96 hours prior to travel that has been digitally verified through the Trusted Travel (TT) Initiative. Persons traveling to Kenya from countries not yet party to the Trusted Travel Initiative must use a tool made available through the Global Haven partnership for COVID-19 test results and vaccine certificates verification.
Travelers must complete the “Travelers Health Surveillance Form” online.
Important Instructions:
- The Kenya Tourist e-Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
- The length of stay is 90 days Total, and it is valid for one Single Entry.
- East Africa Tourist visa is valid for 3 months, multiple entries, 90 days maximum stay (valid for Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda countries only).
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon entry to Kenya and should have at least 1 blank visa page available for the Immigration Officials to stamp your visa into your passport.
- You are required to print and carry this travel authorization with you, as you will be required to present it at the point of entry.
- The applicant must arrive with the same passport with which they applied for the Tourist e-Visa.
